What began as an unexpected farm has become an important part of Camino Farms' growing mission.
Through Provisions, we raise cattle and chickens to provide fresh, nutritious food to families throughout our surrounding communities. But the farm is about more than what we grow. It's about how we care for creation, how we serve our neighbors, and how we invite the people who visit Camino to become part of that work.
Here, farm, camp, community, and creation are all connected.
Farm
What Grows Here Doesn't Stay Here
The work of Provisions starts on the farm.
Our team raises cattle and chickens that are ethically cared for, thoughtfully stewarded, and intentionally grown to nourish our broader community.
Every day, our Farm Manager, Baylor, and his right-hand man, Andrew, care for the animals, maintain the land, collect eggs, manage pastures, and prepare food for processing and distribution.
It's hands-on work that happens every day—rain or shine.
Growing Food to Give
Our farm is home to both broilers and layers.
Broilers are raised for meat and are typically ready for processing within 6–8 weeks.
Layers are raised for egg production and begin laying at approximately 16–17 weeks.
We also raise cattle on our pastures, eventually providing thousands of pounds of beef to local food distribution networks.

Camp
An Invitation to Experience the Farm
Camino Farms began with a vision for a camp and retreat center. The farm came later, when construction delays opened the door to something unexpected.
Today, we see how naturally the two belong together.
Part of our growing mission is to invite campers and retreatants into the day-to-day life of the farm—to see the animals, experience the land, and gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from and what it takes to care for it.
Not everyone who comes to Camino needs to become a farmer.
But everyone can benefit from understanding the connection between the food we eat, the land that produces it, and the people who make it possible.
As Baylor says:
“Even though I don't think it's reasonable to expect the majority of the people that come here to have some kind of hand in agriculture … at least they have an understanding of what it takes to feed all of us and to manage this world in a way that is sustainable and keeps us all healthy and thriving.”

What We Grow Becomes Nourishment for Our Neighbors.
The purpose of Provisions extends far beyond the boundaries of Camino Farms.
We work with local food distribution organizations to get the food we raise into the hands of people and families experiencing food insecurity.
Garden of Health
Garden of Health distributes food to food pantries throughout Montgomery County.
Helping Harvest
Helping Harvest distributes food to food pantries throughout Schuylkill and Berks Counties.
Together, these organizations help us reach tens of thousands of families throughout our surrounding communities.
And what we provide matters.
Fresh sources of protein can be especially difficult for food pantries to offer. By donating beef, chicken, and eggs, Provisions helps make nutritious food more accessible to families who might otherwise struggle to afford it.
A Farm With a Purpose
We don't simply grow food because we can.
We grow food because someone needs it.
As food costs continue to rise, food pantries are seeing more families seeking assistance. Our hope is that the farm can help meet that need—not just today, but for years to come.

The farm grows food. The land grows under our care. Campers and retreatants grow through their experiences. Our community grows through connection and service. And the work of Camino continues to grow beyond the people who walk through our gates.
